Should a CEO hold out against shareholders and go ahead with his beliefs or should be step aside and let the “Collective cloud” decide? This is the the exact question which Jerry Yang is facing in his fight for the future of Yahoo! He believes he has the right set of technology to successfully guide Yahoos! future. Whereas the shareholders see a negative return in the future and have lost their faith in Yahoo.
I believe Yang is being emotional about his company since he founded it. It has been proved that Yahoo apart from it’s web traffic has been an also ran in monetizing its traffic compared to Google. Maybe MS and Yahoo should join hands to tackle Google. An enemy of an enemy is my friend coming into play here? Maybe!
